A Step Back in Time

Built in 1900, The House itself is over 110 years old, and it has been in the family nearly 60 years. The Huffman family has been in the Parkersburg area for many generations. Many of them grew up in or around The Huffman House itself. The House has great sentimental value and because of its location close to both the owner and his family it is a very safe place to visit or stay.
The Huffman House
The House has been in the Huffman family for years, and now the first floor has been converted into a short term rental, anywhere from a 2-night stay up to one month. Renovation and work was completed in 2008 and The Huffman House is now ready to accept guests. It is part of the beautiful Ohio river valley and is settled in the hills just outside of Parkersburg, West Virginia.
The original vision Tom first dreamed of was to finish the entire residence, a haven for travelers that would be both inviting and personal. As of 2010 the only portion finished is the first floor, which is the floor that each guest rents for their stay.
Plans are in progress to finish the second floor to allow guests the option to also rent this second floor. Because we respect that guests are coming here for the peacefull environment the second floor will only be availible to the guest staying on the first floor. The second floor will not be rented as a separate unit, it is merely additional bedrooms and an additional bathroom.
Choosing to also rent the second floor will be beneficial for larger families, multiple couples, or smaller families travelling together who all would like to stay together in one location. There is only one kitchen in The Huffman House, but it is more than adequate to handle the needs of guests staying with us.
